Some Important Things To Know About Bedbugs

If you are dealing with bedbugs, you are likely wondering what you can do to be rid of them and never have to deal with them again. Bedbugs can be miserable to live with, which is why it is so important that everyone is educated on it so that they can spot the problem early, learn how to prevent it, and get the proper removal if necessary. Here are some things everyone should know.

Where Do You Get Bedbugs?

Many people think that bedbugs are only for individuals who have bad hygiene. That is not the case. Bedbugs can land on the wealthy, the well kept, public places, private places, and so forth. Bedbugs live and nest in soft places that have fibers. So mattresses, couches, blankets, pillows and so forth are all at risk for bed bugs. Thus, you couldn't get bed bugs from a restaurant that had wooden chairs, but you could get one that had padded seats, benches and couches.

The bedbugs will land on your clothing and follow you home, then they will get into your couch, bed, or anywhere that is soft.

How Do You Know You Have Bedbugs?

Bedbugs are hard to see. They usually aren't big enough to spot them on things, but there are some tales that you have a problem. First, after you wake in the morning, or after sitting for some time on a couch or bench, you might notice a line of bug bites. The bites usually aren't sporadic and around the whole body. Instead, it moves in a line, since the bug will bite, move up a little and bite again and do this in a pattern.

Another way to tell is to look in the morning, or right after a time you think they might have fed. Their bodies will turn a blackish red, from the blood that they just ate, so you can see them easier. Otherwise, their bodies are white and almost clear so they are hard to see before they have eaten.

How Do You Get Rid Of Bedbugs?

Bedbugs need to be suffocated. The will not simply die from a spray. So usually you have to put a special chemical on them that is very flammable. You shouldn't do it yourself, seeing that people have started house fires from trying to get rid of bedbugs. Call for professional bed bug removal and they will take care of the problem safely.

About Me

Focusing On Pest Control

After dealing with bug infestations in my home for a few years, it occurred to me that I had to do something to make things right. I began thinking about all of my available options, and I realized that working with a professional pest control contractor was one of my best bets. I talked with them about the kinds of bugs that I was finding in my home, and they were really helpful. They came out, sprayed, and even applied some protective treatments around the outside of my house to deter future issues. I wanted to start a blog all about pest control, so I made this website. Check it out.
