That will help to kill the termites already in your home, but they can also place bait stations in a perimeter outside of your house. If those stations are placed a short distance away from your house, the termites that are outside are going to be more attracted to the bait stations than they are going to be to your house. The termites can take the bait back to their nest, and it can kill the termites in the nest, which will keep them out of your house altogether. 

Move Firewood

If you have a fireplace or a woodstove, you might want to have an area near your house where you store your firewood. If you have that near your house, right outside your door, for example, you aren't going to have to go far to pick up your firewood. The problem is that you are going to give the termites a nice, warm place to live, and they can move right over to your house where there is going to be a lot more wood for them to eat.
